Councilman Overstreet felt the amount added to Professional Services could speed up some of the projects and perhaps obtain more fees to offset the costs. President Alderoft suggested waiting until the Planning Department comes to the Council with a specific request for a spec,.Project and then appropriate funds for professional services. Councilnmn Baker suggested thst bY teseetehing tbe fee charges,the City will probably come up with enough mon,'to PaY fer this addttienal consulting service. • • • Tim Langus,Community Services Director,asked if the Council would agree to a planner that would be brought oh board geared uP to ta. over immediately,rather than someone who had to have a break-in period. Dick Thompson then asked if the Council understood that if the money was placed in the budget the Administration could decide to hire an budget and the Administration had the right to use it whatever viay they chose best. Roll was called on the amendment adding 525,000.00 to Object Code 31 with all Councilmen voting yes,except President Aldcroft and Council- • man Michelson,who voted no,and Councilman Gipson,who was excused. • • Motion Carried Roll was called on the motion as amended to adopt Fund 021,Program 102, in the total amount of$299,764.00 with all Councilmen voting Y..,ex- cept President...ft and Councilman Michelson,who voted no,and Councilman Gipson,who waS excused. .
