615 <br /> December 26,19. <br /> wHEREAS,under the direction of the Mayor and City Council,an <br /> Ad Hoc Steering Committee was appointed to assist the City,the Parks <br /> and Recreation Board and staff in developing a Master Plan;and <br /> .EREAS,Wilsey 6 Ham,Inc.was employed to design the Devel0P- <br /> ment Master Plan providing the necessary requirements,needs,and <br /> use of the 60-acre park;and <br /> ...FAS,the Everett Parks and Recreation Board,the Ad Hoc <br /> steering Committee,and the City Council of the City of Everett con- <br /> siders it in the best public interest to make improvements in the <br /> regional 60-acre park in order to comply with the original grant <br /> application,generally located in the southwest portion of the city, <br /> west of Walter E.Hall Park,and south of Casino Road,and east of <br /> Airport Way; <br /> NOW,TREREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNC/L OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT: <br /> 1. That the Mayor be authorized to make formal submittal to the <br /> Heritage Conservation and Recreation Service that the City of Everett <br /> is complying to provide a Development Master Plan for tle 60-acre park; <br /> 2. That the City of Everett is exploring the possibilities of <br /> • financing the development of the 60-acre park,located in the south- <br /> western portion of Everett,Washington; <br /> 3. That the City will subndt to Heritage Conservation and <br /> Recreation Service by February 15,le.,the commitment of a develop- <br /> ment schedule to be in compliance as outlined in the origirel grant <br /> application,and <br /> • <br /> 4. That this resolution becomes a formal compliance to the <br /> Heritage Conservation and Recreation Service. <br /> Roll was called with all Councilmen voting Ye.. <br /> Motion Carried <br /> Moved by Councilman Overstreet,seconded by Councilman Baker,to <br /> Prepare an ordinance to stay within the time frame and to place this <br /> on the March 1.0 ballot,funding to be G.O.bonding. <br /> Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes. <br /> Motion Carried <br /> MUNICIPAL DEPARTMENT-EVERETT DISTRICT COURT-4C14 7912-5601 <br /> .r..rad cattie,city AttorneY,presented a proposed resolution which <br /> authorizes the Mayor and City Council President to sign a petition <br /> to establish a Municipaleepartment in the Everett District Court. <br /> Mr.Cattle said the petition asks for a part-time judge but would <br /> intend to appoint a full-time judge if the caseload required one. <br /> Mr.Cattle stated that the presiding room is used very little for <br /> arraignments and they could probably accommodate us a.for trials <br /> we would have to use other rooms. He spoke about the need for <br /> additional equipment. <br />
