July 16,1980 321 <br /> After considerable discussion the decisiSn.was made by the majority of <br /> the Council that.e length of the contracts term should be changed from <br /> six years to ten years. <br /> president Overstreet announced this would he incorporated in the ordinance <br /> for adoption at the evening meeting. <br /> On motion the meeting recessed. <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council reconvened at 7:00 p.m.Lin <br /> the Council Chavffiers of the Everett City Hall,President Overstreet presiding. <br /> Upon roll call-it was foond that Mayor Moore and all Councilmen were in atten- <br /> dance. <br /> Minutes of the meeting held July 9,1990 were apprOved as printed. <br /> HERM,.CONSERVATION GRANT <br /> Mayor Moore reported he had received phone cal.from Washington D.C.today <br /> stating that the City of Everett would be receiving 8193,865.00 from the <br /> Heritage Conservation Foundation for park purposes. He said this money would <br /> be used at Wiggum Hollow,Garfield and Riverdale Park. <br /> PAINE FIELD LAND USE <br /> Councilman Pope reported he had been on the Paine Field Land Use Steering <br /> Committee and they have completed their study and will be making a recommen- <br /> dation in the near future. <br /> He then asked for a workshop on July 30,1980 to discuss the patrol.at pur- <br /> chase by the Port of Everett. <br /> • <br /> STREET CLOSURE - <br /> Herb Mauglie representing Trinity Lutheran Church requested that 24th Street <br /> between Lombard and Oakes be closed from 11,a rx.to 4 p.m.on July 20,1980 <br /> for their annual picnic and barbeque. <br /> Moved by Councilman Pope,seconded by Councilman Aldcroft to concur in the <br /> request for the blosure of 24th street. <br /> Roll was called with all Councilmen voting Yes• <br /> Motion Carried <br /> • <br /> BUSINESS ZONE COMPLAINT <br /> Dennis Macke,of 5315 S.Second complained that businesses were being located <br /> in wrong zoning areas. He particularly complained of the Cascade Marble 6 . <br /> Onyx Company located at 5301 Second which used flammable liquids etc.and he <br /> felt this was not the proper area for this type of business. <br /> President Overstreet asked Jim Langus to meet with Mr Hackert regarding this <br /> Br...ern. • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> NIP <br />
