G. <br /> 423 <br /> September 17,1980 <br /> APPOINTMENT <br /> Mayor Moore asked f.r Council's concurrence in the appoint..of Ginger <br /> Johnson to serve on the City of Everett's Block Grant Advisory Committee. <br /> to repiace ms.Armise Acrampora,who is unable to serve. <br /> Moved by Councilman Gipson,seconded by Councilman Baker,to concur in <br /> the Mayor's appointment of Ginger Johnson to the Block Grant Advisory <br /> Committee. <br /> Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes. <br /> Motion Carried <br /> • <br /> SOUTHWEST EVERETT UL/D CONSULTANT <br /> Councilman Pozm reported the Consultant Selection Committee had met and <br /> - chosen CH2M-Hill as recormended consultant for the Southwest Everett <br /> • <br /> sewer interceptor system and asked for Council's concurrence. <br /> .. <br /> Moved by Councilman Pope,seconded by Councilman Michelson,to authorize <br /> the Mayor to to sign an agreement wi.CH2M-Eill as consultant for the <br /> Southwest Everett sewer intercepter syStem. <br /> • <br /> Roll was called wi.all Councilmen voting Yes. <br /> Motion Carried • <br /> • <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION SCHEDULED <br /> •. <br /> • <br /> President Overstreet announced there would be an Executive Session after •• <br /> the regular'meeting this evening to discuss a sewer backflood claim <br /> against the City. <br />• CITIZEN'S COMMENTS <br /> Mathew OHare,of 1809k Rainier said the transit system has been <br /> experiencing a large number of breakdowns recently and asked if the <br /> City had a preventative maintenance program and Ron Cameron,of the <br /> Transportation Department,said there was a maintenance Pre,.in <br /> effect,but there have been a series of transit failures recently. <br /> RESOLUTION- (CI 808393) <br /> • <br /> Ron Cameron reported the City of Bellingham has 2 43-passenger buses <br /> • that are available through the bidding process and asked for Council's <br /> approval to submit a bid for them. Re stated Everett's need for <br /> additional buses both at the present and for future expansion of service. <br /> Mayor Moore said he had reviewed the financial status of the Transit <br /> budget and stated the purchase would not be a burden. <br /> • <br />
