WHEREAS,since October•1979,residents and neighborhood business PeoPle have been working with Planning-Depart...,staff tO deVeloll community revitalization strategies and public facilities improvement plans;and WHEREAS,t.ighborhood residenta adopted the Plan aa a document to guide developn.nt and the expenditure of future Community Development Block Grant funds on June 15,12131 at a Port Gardner Association meeting;and WHEREAS,members of the Everett Planning Commission held five public hearings concerning the document and unanimously approved a Resolution accepting the Plan on October 20,15E11; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 1. The port Gardner Plan be accepted-as an•informal 9,...1121,for develop- ment in the Port Gardner area. Acceptantle Plan shall not have the force of law,but will indicate neighborhood concerns, goals and policies to all those interested in development in the Port Gardner community. - • 2. The Plan be accepted as a g2,1_i_le for the expenditure of future Com- munity Development Block grant funds for such public facilities as pedestrian paths and sidewalks,street improvements,traffic improvements,at.park improvements.
