P <br /> Roll was called with all Councilmen voting Yea. e <br /> Motion Carried <br /> 10'h E <br /> ENERGY COMMITTEE t <br /> t <br /> Joe Kozlovski reported the Puget Sound Council of Governments is e <br /> requesting that the P.U.D.and the local government ma7or decision r <br /> ., makers participate in a study on energy sayings. He said PSCOG <br /> t I would coordinate the policy. The planning committee rmuld be made <br /> up of P.U.D.and City legislators in tke county who would be responsible i. <br /> for policy making. Staff of these various agencies would make up the <br /> plan. The Council is asking what City Council reaction is to this t <br /> kind of organization set-up and if the Council had no objection,they <br /> would proceed in this manner. There were no comments by the Council. t <br /> t 4, <br /> 1 <br /> MARXETING STUDY FOR CULTURAL-CONVENTION CENTER-(CB 8112-519) <br /> , <br /> Joe Kozlovski reported this is a emrkshop on the report authorized by e <br /> ( <br /> the Council is August. This would be the first of four reports to <br /> come before the Council from the consultants on the f easibility study. <br /> Robert Burk,of tn.55132 Group,consulting firm,said the general <br />!N.A. reaction is there is little unmet demand in the Everett area for a <br /> cultural convention center,what with construction of the new Pacific <br /> , , AVenue Hotel,etc. Because of this decision by the SRI International ' <br />.. consultant group,who had made the study,they bad met with the ' <br /> y6, Chamber of Commerce and a committee of Art Commission,Museum people E <br /> and others regarding exactly where to go from there. The committee's findings and con- <br /> , , elusion was that the economic/demographic outlook is more optimistic <br /> than the report.
