Upon roll call it was found that <br /> • <br /> Mayor Moore and all Councilmen were in attendance,except councilmen <br /> Michelson and Gipson,Who were excused. <br /> • <br /> • Minutes of the meetings held February 3rd an.8th were aPProved as <br /> printed. <br /> • <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> • <br /> . • <br /> . . <br /> Mayor Moore proclaimed Tuesday,February 23,1982,as"Eagle Scout <br /> MAYOR POR THE DAP <br /> Dr,William Ernst explained that he had acquired"Mayor for MDay. <br /> through a recent SABA auction and had turned it over to the Boys Cl. <br /> • who conducted an essay contest as a means of choosing a candidate. <br /> The winner,Erik Gram Lamrson,was then introduced,and Mayor Moore <br /> proclaimed today,February 10th,as"Mayor of the City of Everett <br /> Day". Jim rangy,Chief Administrative Assistant,announced the full <br /> • <br /> schedule that Mayor Lamerscn would have today. <br /> COUNCILMAN'S COMMENTS <br /> • <br /> Councilman Overstreet announced there was little or no progress in <br /> the 1/2C sales tax issue and that it did not look encouraging for this <br /> session. <br /> • WALX-A-THON <br /> • <br /> • <br /> Moved by Councilman Stephenson,seconded by Councilman Lang,.to <br /> approve a Walk-A-Thon by the March of Dimes on AprIl 24,1,2,and <br /> • waiver any City fees connected therewith. <br /> Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes,except Councilman <br /> . . <br /> Michelson and Gipson,who were excused. <br /> Motion Carried <br /> AGENDA UPDATE <br /> ., <br /> ' • • <br /> President Pope aruounced there would be first reading of the proposed <br /> emergency medical.service program levy at the end of today's agenda. <br /> • <br />
