... <br /> 143 <br /> • <br /> April 14,•1982 <br /> The motion made by Councilman Langus,seconded by Councilman Overstreet, <br /> at the meeting held April 7,1982,was to adopt Resolution No.2000 as <br /> follows: <br /> A ABSOLUTION authorizing the demolition of a building <br /> at 1812 Hoyt. <br /> WHEREAS,the Building Official has found that the building which is <br /> located at 1812 Hoyt is a substandard structure based upon the standards • <br /> set forth in the 1979 Uniform Housing Code;and <br /> WHEREAS,the Building Official issued an Order requesting the owner <br /> of the property to make the necessary repairs or to demolish the building; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council finds•the repairs or demolition have not <br /> taken place ds was required in the Order which was duly served on the <br /> owner of the property:and <br /> WHEREAS,the Building Official has the authority to recommend this <br /> action pursuant to the Uniform Housing Code:and • <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council finds that the owner of the property has <br /> been given notice of this Council meeting;and • <br /> • <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett City Council,upon dUe consideration,deems it <br /> in the best interest of the public health,safety and we that an • <br /> • <br /> Order be entered requiring the demolition of thie building. <br /> NOW,ITEM:TORE,BE IT RESOLVED by t <br /> dm he City of Everett: <br /> Section 1.
