168 <br /> April 28,1682 <br />.• <br /> • RESOLUTION-.13.4-1811 <br /> ) <br /> Moved by Councilman Overstreet,seconded by Councilman Gipson,to adopt 1 <br /> Resolution No.2083 as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTE:3N authorizing the Mayor to execute <br /> •• an agreement with the Seattle Public Library. 1 <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett Public Library has a Washington Library Network •" <br /> MLN)terminal which it no longer needs nor intends on using in the 1 <br /> future;and <br /> WEEREAS,the Seattle Public Library has a need for said equipment <br /> and desires to acquire said equipment in exchange for providing certain .6 <br /> services. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,be it resolved by the City Council of the City of <br /> • <br /> Everett that the,MN terminal is hereby declared to be surplus proPertY 1 <br /> a.the Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with Seattle Public <br /> Library selling the equipment to them in exchange for them providing <br /> • <br /> • <br /> services to the Everett P.lic Library of equal value. <br /> • <br /> Councilman Aldcroft asked if the Library might have need for tbis terminal <br /> at some point in the future,and Bill Cushman replied,on behalf of Mark .6 <br /> Nesse,Library Director,that the new automated library syst4m will make • <br /> the existing eguiprzent obsolete as it was especially designed for WEN only. <br /> Roll was called on the motion to adopt the resolution with all Councilmen .. <br /> voting yes,except Councilzdn Michelson,who voted no. <br /> Motion Carried <br /> RESOLUTION- .E(124-1S2l <br /> Moved by Councilman Overstreet,seconded by Councilman Gipson,to adopt • <br /> Resolution No.2066 as follows: <br /> A REsoLuTION to purchase one 8"water meter <br /> WHEREAS,the Water Department of the City of Everett requires one <br /> (1)new 8"water meter for installation on new water service for Public <br /> • Utility District off#3 transmission line at 73rd Avenue S.E.;and <br /> WHEREAS,said water meter must be specially constructed and sold <br /> fur thia tYPe of application;and <br /> WHEREAS,Hersey Products,Inc.is the only firm that manufacturers <br /> an 8"water meter with a stop and trim check in the industry and is <br /> sole source. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,be it resolved by the City Council of the City of <br /> Everett that an emergency is hereby declared to exist and the Purchasing <br /> Division is authorized to purchase sole source one (11 1.27:17CT meter with <br /> a stop and trim check for 56,394.00,plus sales tax. <br /> Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes. <br /> Motion Carried <br />
