1 510 <br /> December 29,1982 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at EI:lo <br /> a.m.,December 29,1,82,in the Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Pope presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor Moore and <br /> all Councilmen were in attendance. <br /> Minutes of the meeting held December 22,1982,were approved ae Printed. <br /> APPOINDMNT <br /> ZgaIrolTatlar:Pla::r11:111:tA'g:heti"'""a" <br /> Moved by Councilman Gipson,seconded by Councilman Longue to concur in the <br /> Mayor's appointment of Phil Rifner as a member of the Park Board,term to <br /> expire January 1,1989. <br /> Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes. <br /> Motion Carried <br /> CLOTHING DRIVE <br /> '1,0; 2Tg1172rt!!!'°:nf:Uf,:e:.tt: <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> 'Ol%all1=laPnāgamaZT:a4ae:',11311C1::stt:ttliat:ar'a'an aaa raaa'raaa'aa a' <br /> tt". Councilman Aldcroft felt the insurance in the present ordinance is sablefact4 <br /> and saw no reaeon to increase it as in the proposed ordinance. He commended <br /> Charles Griffis for the research done on taxi cab insurance limits in other <br /> cities presented to the council December 23rd and felt the limits in the old <br /> ordinanoe were in line with these other cities. lie felt there was no reason <br /> for increasing this Insurance at all. <br /> If,, ItroeL:yr,Zunci..,Aldcroft,seconded by Councilman Longue CO close the pv1 <br /> President Pope asked if anyone further wished to speak and no one replied. <br /> Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes. <br /> Motion Carried <br /> Moved',Councilman Aldcroft,seconded by Councilman Stephenson that the <br /> proposed ordinance be amended by-changing the insurance limits back to the <br /> amount In the previous ordinance. Said amen.mmt would change the last <br /> sentence in the first paragraph of Section 8 to read as follows: <br /> ;',;"1 <br />
