Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes. CASHIER'S CHECKS/BIO BONDS RELEASED , Moved by Councilmen Overstreet,seconded by Councilman Langus,to approve releasing of cashier's checks/bid bonds fore ll but the ' 3 apparent responsive low bidders of Casino..Standpipe painting . bids. Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes. Motion Carried PUBLIC HEARING-TRANSIT FARE/NCREASE lI President Pope announced this was a continuation of.e public bearing on proposed transit fare increases that seas opened last toueimeeting of May 25th. This hearing would again be continued , t week,June 8,and a decision would be made at that time. President Pope asked if anyone wished to speak on the proposed increase and Charles Butler,of 2331 Rockefeller,spoke against the proposal, He said he also represented a number of other college students who also opposed the increase and indicated that a majority of them would discontinue riding the bus to school if the increase was approved. Councilman Stephenson said the Budget Committee had talked about options available and this information.uld be discussed at the hearing next week when a decision will be made. President aope again asked if anyone else wished to speak and no one replied. ,
