375 <br /> October 19,1983 <br /> RESOLUTSJD-LAME STREET TAC RECOMMENDATION REJECTED <br /> To'aeat bY "n"''t' <br /> A RESOLUTION rejecting resolution reflecting <br /> Traffic Advisory Committee Recommendation <br /> regarding vacated Lake Street. <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett Traffic Advisory Committee has made <br /> a recommendation concerning vacated Lake Street,whichwas reflected <br /> in a proposed resolution which came on before the Everett City Council <br /> for hearing on August 24,1583,a copy of which resolution is attached; <br /> and <br /> NEEREAS,after presentation of testimony and evidence before the <br /> Everett City Council it was decided there is no public need for the <br /> establishment of such a street,but that the City should accept a.sum <br /> of money in an amount not to exceed one-half of the current appraised <br /> value of vacated Lake Street as compensation rather than a conveyance <br /> of property from A.A.Wexler and Gilda J.Wexler( <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of Everett does <br /> resolve that the proposed resolution,a copy of which is attached <br /> aet hereto,is rejected(and • <br /> FURTHER,BE IT RESOLVED that the City Attorney draft a resolution <br /> reflecting the City Council's decision to decline the conveyance of <br /> real property from A.A.Wexler and Gilda T.Wexler in lieu of monetary <br /> compensation,and to accept monetary compensation in an amount not to <br /> exceed one-half of the current appraised value of vacated Lake Street.
