Since the time the request was made there <br /> had been an increeee in cost and an additional 81,000 was needed. <br /> d He suggested it might come out of the Council Contingency Fund if <br /> Nere were no Human Needs funds available. <br /> Councilman Stephenson said the Budget Committee would act on this <br /> at their meeting scheduled for December 2nd,a.t..petchett, <br /> repreeenting Marvel Industrie,uNed that action be taken today as <br /> the bid received was only viable if it were accepted immediately. <br /> a, Moved by Councilman Aldcroft,seconded by Councilman Michelson, <br /> that$1,000 be allocated to Marvel Industries from the Human Needs <br /> Funds if money was available,or from the Council Contingency Fund. <br /> Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes,except Councilmen <br /> Gipson,Overstreet and Pope,whO voted no. 1 <br /> Motion Carried <br /> CITIZENS'COMMENTS <br /> Gail Chism spoke on the public meeting regaraNg the Navy home- <br /> porting in Everett and again urged the Council to let the people <br /> vete on this issue. <br /> Becky delsing inquired if any ordinances were being passed in <br /> connection with the abortion clinic and the Mayor replied he had <br /> turned this matter over to the Legal Department but it was not <br /> under the City's jurisdiction to enact legislation to control this , <br /> situatiOn. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS <br /> RESOLUTION-PAYROLL <br /> To adopt Resolution No.2353 as follows: <br /> BE IT NSOLVED by'the City Council of.e City of Everett that the <br /> payroll of the employees of the City of Everett as of November 12, <br /> 1983,and warrants issued November 1983,having been audited,be <br /> and the eame ie herehY approved and the proper officers are her.1, <br /> authorised and directed to charge warrants on the Payroll Fund in <br /> payment thereof as follows: <br /> PUNG GROSS EMPLOYEE NET EMPLOYER <br /> NO.
