DUe to increased congestion at the intersection of Broadway and , <br /> Beverly Blvd.,the single family residential designation applied ' <br /> to much of the subject property is no longer apProPriate,and <br /> the Business/Light Commercial designation applied to the properties <br /> to the properties to the east and south should be extended to this , <br /> proper y as long as measures are taken to protect surrounding . <br /> eingletfamily homes frca the visual impact of this development. ' <br /> 2. The subject property consists of a series of lots all of which <br /> have double frontage. There are three streets contighous to the <br /> site,Spokane Drive,Beverly Blvd.,and Broadway. Broadway and <br /> Beverly Blvd.are carrying relatively high volumes of traffic <br /> with,,oximately 7,000 trips per.,(TPD)On 070070,07 and <br /> 12,900 TPD on Beverly Blvd. Spokane naive is carrying approxi- <br /> mately 300 TPD which is normal for a residential street. <br /> 3. Based on the double frontage nature of the lots involved and the <br /> congestion CaUsed by the high volumes of traffic on both Beverly <br /> 000Broadway,the subject p7070077 00,not suited to single- <br /> family residential development. <br /> CommT:e'iorgnigl.ze:brerlt <br /> was received,and <br /> WHEREAS,the Planning Commission made findings,conclusions,and <br /> a recoemendetion to change the Comprehensive Plan for the s,ject <br /> 00 0770 Single-Family to Business/Light Commercial. <br /> NOW,THEREPORE,BE/T RESOLVED that the Everett City Council here- <br /> by adopted the Planning Commission's findings,conclusions and <br /> recommendations to change the Comprehensive Plan for the subject area <br /> to 70$0 (flight Commercial. <br /> Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes. <br /> Motion Cerried <br /> • <br /> PUBLIC HEARING-KROEZE REZONE <br /> • <br /> Gerry Engine said this public hearing was to consider the r,oning <br /> of the Kroeze Bros.property that Council had just approved a change ' <br /> in Co,Plan.
