Upon roll call it vas <br /> found ch.c Mayor Moore and all Councilmen were in attendance,except <br /> Councilman Morrow,who was excused. <br />• <br /> 1 :INtg...?tilZomPeol=d1ItdeptrsorebR:IGi:r;ro7=9.""i"ed <br /> 1 APPOINTMENTS <br /> moved by Councilman.Michelson, seconded by Councilman Gangue, to <br /> concur in the MaVor1s reappointment of Dorothy McNiven and Dr. <br /> 1 Michael Jenkins to serve on the Paramedics Board. <br /> Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes. excePt Councilman <br /> MOrrow,who was excueed. <br /> Motion Carried 1 <br /> Moved by Councilman Gipson, seconded by Councilian Michelson, to <br /> concur in the Mayor's appointment of Fred Sjoholm,CPA,to serve as <br /> a member of the Paramedics Board. • <br /> Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes. except councilman <br /> MOrrow,who ems excused. <br /> . . <br /> - Motion Carried <br /> I <br /> 1 MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Moore said the City will be taking a strong stand on illegal <br /> ' fireworks and mill be prosecuting under the new State la,.an well as <br /> 1 provisione of the City's noise ordinance. Citations will be issued <br /> by the Police Department and Fire Marshal's Office. <br /> 1 <br /> 1 . <br /> l• COUNCIL COJMENTS <br /> Councilman Pope snid he had been asked several weeke ago to work <br /> with Orin Fjeran to put together a schedule on Navy meetings which <br /> , would be completed when 14r.Pjeran returns from vacation. <br /> 1 <br /> v Councilmati Michelson said he had beard there Might be a new hotel <br /> built in the vicinity of Cedar and Pine and fart these streets <br /> . should be widened between Pacific and Hewitt. He asked for a <br /> 1. written report on this from the Public Works Department and also a <br /> report on.the status of the Hewitt Avenue Viaduct. <br /> In answer to Councilman MicheIson.s questions, Mayor Moore replied <br /> it was customary to have developers improve the streets at the time <br /> of construction. He also'said the City has been negotiating with <br /> • the railroad on the Viaduct and there is no intention to beef up the <br /> • bridge rather than replace it. He said-status reports on these two <br /> • <br /> • matters will be available soon.
