WHEREAS,the City of Everett Building Official hae found that the building which is located at 2618 Grand Avenue is a substandard structure based upon the standards set forth in'the 1979 Uniform Housing Code;and WHEREAS,the Building Official has found the building to be dangerous pursuant to Section 302 of the 1979 Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Huildinge;and WHEREAS,the City Council finds that the Building Official issued en Order requiring the owners of the propertY tc make the fle'eeeek2 repairs or to demolish the building and clear the ProPertl;end WHEREAS,the City Council finds that the required repairs or demolitica and clearing has not taken place as was required in the Order which:fan duly served on the owners of the property;and WHEREAS,the City Council finds that the Building Official has the authority to recommend this action pursuant to the Uniform Housing Code, and WHEREAS,the City Council finds that the oweners of the property have given notice of ttsis Council raeting;and WHEREAS,the Everett City Council,upon due consideration,deems it in the best interest of the public health,safety and welfare that an Order be entered requiring the demolition and clearing of the building.
