This ordinance repeals Ordinance No. 3952 relating <br /> to Community Antenna Systems Franchise. <br /> President Stephenson said the first reading of Council Bill#844-49 <br /> would be postponed to meet charter publication requirements. <br /> (granting Viacom Cablevision franchise) <br /> PUBLIC OARING-PROPOSED ANNEXATION <br /> Art Kos said this is the public hearing on the 758 annexation <br /> petition for the proposed annexation of an area south of 100th St. <br /> SW to 108th St. S.W. (Liberty Christian Church). The annexation's <br /> total land area is 83 acres and is assessed at 84,082,900. 8111 of <br /> the property °One.. have signed the petition in support of the <br /> annexation. <br /> 1/4: <br /> The area is adjacent to the city limits,however there is an island <br /> which will remain in the county. This island is primarily owned by <br /> the Mukiltee School District and they do not wish to come in at this <br /> time. <br /> ).) Be pointed out tWo major arterial intersections, Holly Drive and <br /> 100th St.SW,and Everett Mall Way and Evergreen.At present theee <br /> intersections are partially in the city and partially in the <br /> county. This has caused Many problems te both city and coUnty <br /> officials Oen accidents have occured in these intersections because <br /> of the difference in ginning,street width, locations, etc. If the <br /> annexation is approVed,the intersections will be completely ineide <br /> the City limits. <br /> Councilman Michelson spoke against having the island left in the <br /> t county. <br /> 4){) Councilman Morrow asked if the citimens on Montana Ave.were annexed <br /> hotelier the larger proprty owners such as Liberty Christian Church <br /> wanted into the city end Mr.Os replied this could be true,but he <br /> had Objectionfree Only two people on Montana and the rest of the <br /> property owners had made no comment,one Way or the other. <br /> Councilmen MorroW then cOmmented that it will be quite expensive for <br /> the residents to pay for the improvements to 100th St.etc. <br /> In answer to a question from President Stephenson,Mr.Roe said the <br /> area at the intersection of Evergreen Way and Everett Mall Way is <br /> zoned C-1 by the county. The city eXpecte to use the same tYPe <br /> zoning. The Liberty Christian Church area is zoned for 12-24 DWA <br /> and the city will uee the same type of density.
