This seemed to be impossible to enforce also. <br /> se recommended delaying the ordinance until more of these details • <br /> could be solved. <br /> • <br /> Moved•by Councilman Micheleon, seconded by Councilman Gipson to <br /> close the public hearing. <br /> • <br /> President Gtephenson asked if anyone further wished to speak and no <br /> one replied. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except Councilman <br /> GangUs who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> President Stephenson <br /> asked•the city attorney if the city would be <br /> mere liable if this ordinance was not adopted and there were no <br /> . regulations for the lake. Mr. Weight replied by mot having an <br /> ordinance and not regulating those natters he did not believe that <br /> the city would be incurring a greater liability for that than if the <br /> City had them. We said all of the ordinances of the city that are <br /> currently in effect, such-as the reckless endangerment section in <br /> the criminal code, wmad cover a lot of the things that are not <br /> specifically covered in this ordinance. <br /> • <br /> President Stephenson then asked if a boat was going 35 miles an hour <br /> on the lake what would happen'and sr. Weight sa.in his°Pinion <br /> this would be recklees endangerment and vmuld be covered under the <br /> municipal code. <br /> COUNCIL BILL 857-74 <br /> FINAL READING: <br /> All ORDINANCE providing for the comprehensive regulation of <br /> recreational water use activities in and upon Silver Lake in <br /> the City of Everett.' <br /> Moved by Councilman Pope,seconded by Councilman Gipson that this is <br /> declared to be the final reading of COuncil Sill 5857-84 anthe <br /> City Clerk is directed to call'the roll for the final disposition of <br /> the ordinance. <br /> .. <br />
