Upon roll call <br /> '.,. it was found that Mayor Moore and all councilmen were present except <br /> Councilman Gipson who was excused. <br /> Minutes of the meeting held October 23, 1985 were approved as <br /> printed with Councilman Overstreet abstaining from voting. <br /> MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br />.0 ', , mayor Moore introduced Clydeana Pouira who had purchased'Mayor for <br /> a Day*at the gonta Club Auctidn. <br /> He then proclaimed November as'Read at Home Month.. <br /> BUDGET MESSAGE <br /> The mayor then presented his bUdget message to the council reviewing <br /> the current year and the coming year. He spoke of the'1986 revenues <br /> . , <br /> ,., , including propertY taX• iigcoe ...S. service charges: fePcncc <br /> sharing and sales tax. <br /> He spoke briefly of the program highlighte which were of particular <br /> u i P, interest,pointing-out that specific details of these and all other <br /> programs will be found in the Budget Narrative Book and the <br /> ni:',. departmental program budget document. <br /> :::'A He said each department end each appropriation will be reviewed in <br /> :'11'::,:3. detail by the council during the continuing-series of public <br /> . . hearings which began in July of 1985. He reported also that he had attended a <br /> meeting with representatives of citieS, Presidents of VeriOus <br /> 4.4c, associations,such as the City Clerks,etc.to discuss whet the AWC <br /> , . <br /> legiSlative package should be next year. <br /> Councilman morrow said the Puget Sound Council of Governments had <br /> received a National Achievement Award, the only one given in the <br /> United States.
