The <br /> decisions on the location of support services facilities will depend <br /> on how to best serve the people and yet be reasonably cost effective. <br /> Councilman Narrow asked if there were any funds in FY 87 for access <br /> roads to the base. Captain Cameron replied that no funds have been <br /> appropriated for access roads in FY 87. FY 88 mould be the first <br /> i budget to indicate Access road allocations. The purpose of the <br /> Defense Access Highway Funds program was Cr fund those impacts that <br /> existed because of military facilities and the fact those facilities <br /> have to provide efficient egress access but it is only for the <br />• immediate area of those facilities. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />• <br /> Councilman Overstreet Stated that he was pleaead that the Mayor mas <br /> activating the Adult Use Task Force to review the recent U.S. <br /> Supreme Court Decision. He requested that this move on as recta <br /> track as possible so that these new issues can be reviewed and <br /> implemented as soon as possible. He also stated that he was excited <br />. .• about the outcome the Council retreat and was looking forward to the <br /> upbeat trend for rue future. <br /> Councilman Morrow stated on Thursday,February 27 at 6:00 p.m.,the <br /> Washington Commission on the Humanities will be meeting at the <br /> Everett Chamber of Commerce building. The Commission will be <br /> awarding its first project award to the Northwest Room of the <br /> Everett Public Library for its exhibit of Everett Photographers from <br /> 1892 to 1914. He encouraged hie fellow councilmembers to attend. <br /> Councilman Stephenson thanked President Gipson for his virion in <br /> Planning the Council retreat which was a very Poeitive event and he <br /> feels some very important deciaions for the future of Everett <br /> citizens will come out of the retreat. <br /> Councilman Stephenson reported an the Finance and Budget Committee <br /> meeting which was held this morning. A proposal for sten week <br /> Jetty Island Days program mill be presented to Council in the next <br /> couple of weeks. <br /> PARADE PERMIT <br /> Moved by Councilman Stephenson, seconded by Councilman Gangue to <br /> grant permiasion for the Xnights Templar Easter Parade on Sunday <br /> March 30,19B6 on Colby Avenue. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes. <br /> motion carried. <br />,• <br />
