176 <br /> May 7,1986 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order <br /> at 8,30 a.m., May 7, 1986 in the Council Chambers of Everett City <br /> Hall,President Gipson presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Moore and all councilmen were in attendance. <br /> Minutes of the meeting held April 30,1986 were approved as printed. <br /> MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Dennis Janke, Utilities Division, was presented with a check for <br /> 8267 for the cost saving suggestion of changing the landscaping at <br /> Reservoir#6,with an anticipated savings of 64,326 the first year. <br /> Mayor Moore COngratUlated !Ir. Janke and thanked him for his <br /> suggestion. Mayer Moore stated the Employee Suggestion Award <br /> program has been an available vehicle for employees to make <br /> I suggestions, saving thousands of dollars for the City since its <br /> inception. <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Moore proclaimed the week of May 11 through May IV, 1986 as <br /> National Historic Preservation Week. <br /> Mayor Moore asked Councilman morrow, as the Council liaison to the <br /> Historical Commission, to present the Proclamation to Donna Chaae, <br /> t/' past ptesident of the Everett Historical Commission. <br /> Mrs.Chase accepted the award on behalf of the Commission and Paul <br /> I/. Pritchard,president. She stated that the dedication of the Museum <br /> at ite new location at 2915 Hewitt will be held today at 11:30 a.m. <br /> ECONO!MC DEVELOPMENT COMIC.ANNUAL REPORT <br /> clare Coxey, President of the Economic Development Council of <br /> Snohomish CoUnty, sUmmarimed the services and programs that the <br />! I Economic Development Council provide to and on behalt of the City of <br /> Everett. The EDC has the primary responsibility for economic and <br /> job development through business assistance, expansion and <br /> relocation. <br /> Mr.Comey reviewed the 1985 scope of services including: <br /># 1.
