The <br /> expenditure of$15,000 would provide a float for the City of Everett <br /> to promote Everett in general and Everett festival and tourism <br /> activities in particular. <br /> Moved by Councilman Pope, seconded by Councilman Stephenson to <br /> appropriate$15,000 from Fund 138, gotel/Motel Tex Proceeds, to the <br /> Northwest Freedom Foundation for a float for the City of Everett. <br /> Councilmember Niva stated that Council had decided et the council <br /> meeting on November 12,1986 that a committee would be appointed by <br /> the Council President to study the legislative authority for the <br /> Hotel/Motel Tax Fund and that recommendation be given to the Council <br /> on timing, guidelines and procedures for allocations for future <br /> years. The committee is to report back to Council by December <br /> , <br /> 1986. She stated that in her opinion no allocations should be made , <br /> until the report has been received and reviewed. 0 <br /> ° <br /> Councilman Stephenson said the °committee would be meeting on <br /> December 4, 1986 and the plan waD to have a recommendation and <br /> report ready by the December 15,1986 deadline.
