He said they were a <br /> little chagrined when they heard about it because this v mething. <br /> they h n involved in labor talks with the Fire Chief over a <br /> considerable abletime and the issue hes been involved to the contract <br /> eogtiaticns also. e of the things the Chief had mentioned et the <br /> April 29thmeeting wasthat the union had tentatively agreed to take <br /> the line of progression to the Fire Marshal's position out of the <br /> contract. He Pail t mention that the union tagreed to do that if <br /> they could come before the.City Council and present their position <br /> whthe issue. They would be willing to go at that time with <br /> atever City council decided. They wrote to President Gipson <br /> requesting to do this and he had talked with the Meyer and they were <br /> not allowed to appear .
