Motion carried. 1/A il A AGREEMENT Clair Olivers,Utilities Superintendent, stated the Washington State Department oP Ecology(00E)has mandated titles with combined sewer III overflows (CSOe) to submit a CSO Control Plan by November 1, 1987. I T t this requirement,it was necessary to retain a consultant a a. minimum of 12 C 15 months prior to plan submittal deadline. to The-City retained Culp, wesner and Culp on August 5, 1986, to develop a CSO Control Plan for Everett. The scope of work in the August 5,1986,consulting agreement was based on h DOE pproved CSO Y_. Control Plan for Metro, since the DOE had not yet adopted CSC control regulations. The DOE has now adopted CSO Control Regulations and guidance for f 1 implementing those regulations. The adopted regulations require significantly urt than e required for Metro's C50.Control V Plan. The m arequirement to sample the water and sediment quality Of several CSO outfalls. .'I The scope of work in the supplemental agreement will allay { development of s CSO Control Plan in compliance with the recently DOE regulations and guidance and has been approved by regional OE office. Mr,°livers stated the total task budget will be$219,704 with this fit supplemental agreement. -"NI V
