Upon roll call it was <br /> found that all councilmen were present except President Gipson and <br /> councilman LangUs who were excused. Mayor Moore was also excused. <br /> Minutes of the meeting beld October 14, 1987 were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> pRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br /> vice President Morrow introduced Dominic Soriano and his citizenship <br /> class from the Everett Community College. Be said there were <br /> students at the meeting tonight from Theilend, England, SPain, <br /> philippines end Canada. <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> ,p=asi=„0.ctober 18 through October 24 as "National I I <br /> He announced also that Item No.1,7th ave.Estates Division rezone <br /> had been deleted from the agenda, an emergency resolution on <br /> reservoir repairs would be added and the City Attorney bad requested <br /> an executive session on a legal matter following the meeting. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilman Pope said he bad taken part in a food bank fund raiser <br /> at Olson's by filling three grocery baskets with food from the store <br /> in ten minutes for a total of 8174.00. <br /> Councilman Stephenson said on Nov.4th,the class he is teaching on <br /> Jr.Achievement will be present at the council meeting. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS 1 I <br /> CUrt Pederson of 7OP 10511 Pl. S.E. thanked the Planning Department <br /> staff for the notification received on the cancellation of the <br /> hearing on 7th Ave. that was to be held tonight. Re said he <br /> understood the applicant had withdrawn his request but he may come <br /> back later with another request. Nr. Pederson said he was here <br /> tonight to present a petition with 100 signatures on it opposing <br /> mining changes that allow higher density in this area. <br /> PUBLIC WEAR/NG-REZONE I <br /> Mary cunningham of the planning Department said this is a public <br /> hearing on the application for approval of a rezone of approximatelY <br /> A2 acres of land located on the northeast corner of Everett Mall <br /> Way and 4th Ave. West. The requested rezone is from a 11-S,Single <br /> .mily Suburban Residential designation to C-1,General Commercial <br />
