He <br /> will meet with President Gipson to determine the timing for the <br /> final reading of the B & 0 tax, Utilities tee and Gambling Tax <br /> proposed ordinances. <br /> President Gipson thanked Councilmembers Stephenson, Siva and Pope <br /> for their work as members of the Finance&Budget Committee for the <br /> past two years. <br /> Councilmember Morrow, as liaison with the Park Department, <br /> introduced a 5 minute marketing slide presentation on the highlights <br /> of 1987 in the City's Park and Recreation Department. <br /> PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br /> President Gipson announced that there will be two resolutions added <br /> to the agenda regarding LID 713 and LID 716a in the consent agenda <br /> items. <br /> USE OF C/TY STREETS <br /> President Gipson stated a request has been received from P.R.I.D.E., <br /> Progressive Retailers in Downtown Everett,be to have five parking <br /> spaces in the 2800 block of Colby vacated to used as an embarking <br /> area for horse drawn carriage rides with Santa for children in,the <br /> downtown aree on November 27 December 19. They elso requested <br /> that they be allowed to use the horse drawn carriage from the 2800 <br /> block to Everett High School on these dates. President Gipson <br /> stated the request has not yet been reviewed by the Police <br /> Department. <br /> 19 <br />
