The first to <br /> speak would be the staff presenting the agenda item and t the time <br /> the until would be asking questions. Then the citizens would j <br /> sneak on the item and following that, the hearing would be closed i <br /> and the council would deliberate. <br /> COUNCIL BILL N0.8711-89 <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation /realignment of a <br /> portion of the alley west of Colby and north of 61st Street. <br /> Bob Landles of the Planning Department asked that this public <br /> hearing be continued. Several letters of appeal have been received <br /> and the staff was recommending that this be continued until the s •ame <br /> �� date the appeal on the SEPA would Cone before the council. This <br /> would not be until Febxaxy 24th. e <br /> Moved by C ncilmember Gipson, seconded by councilmember Longus to <br /> continue the public hearing on Council 8111 8711-89, the <br /> f <br /> vacation/realignment Of a portion o alley lying west of Coly and <br /> north of 41st St.until February 24,1988. <br /> Roll was Callatl with all ncilmembers voting yes a cept <br /> Councllmember step M1enson rho was axcusetl. <br /> Notion carried. <br /> PUBLIC NEARING-RESOLUTION COBG 1988 RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> oember Overstreet wanted the record to how that he was e <br /> board <br /> member of the Deaconess Children Home and his wife was a board <br /> member of Community Health Center of Snohomish County if anyone <br /> objected to his participating in the hearing. No one replied. <br /> Dave Koenig of the Planning Department asked the committee members <br /> inattendance to stand and then introduced Jim Tiede, Chairman of <br /> the committee. Mr. Tiede said they had reviewed all applications <br /> received for funding, even though there was a reduction in the <br /> funds.He said there were several new agencies added this year and a <br /> contingency amount of $11,668.00. He thanked the members of the <br /> comittee for the many hours spent reviewing these requests. <br /> President five asked if anyone wished to speak and Susan Richmond, <br /> hairman o the Port Gardner Neighborhood Association, thanked the <br /> committee end council for the funding. <br /> Frank Crosby, Greater Riverside Association Chairman, also thanked <br /> the committee but asked if some of the money in the contingency fund <br /> could be given to their association for additional sidewalks. <br />
