H stated that the court 11! decisions require that the City maintain a good planning process, t a damper on being too creative in land use matters, require development requirements with good records to support the action and require prudent decisions. He stated updating the 30 year old code is a difficult task andtluee need to provide consistency and clear up discrepancies st l I� Allan GSPfen, Planning Staff, reviewed the changes that are being I ti I;I, proposed in the amendments to the present zoning codes. He stated n these will help provide guidance to those who ow and those who wish 3 to purchase property in the City. He stated the Planning Commission 11 has held three public hearings on these changes. The Planning Commission has recommended that the ordinance providing the zoning ode amendments not became effective until July 12, 1988, 6 months after the date of their approval of January 12,1980.
