March 2,1988 <br /> 99 4 <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> Moved by Councilmember Morrow, seconded by Councilmember Overstreet <br /> to authorize the Mayor to a an agreement with Paragon Land <br /> Surveying for the survey of the Main Branch Library block. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmembers voting yes except <br /> Councilmember Stephenson who was excused <br /> 0 <br /> Motion carried. <br /> COUNCIL BILL ND.882-27 <br /> FINAL READING <br /> AN ORDINANCE establishing the Community Center Site Advisory <br /> Committee. <br /> Councilmember Morrow asked if the City was locked into a site for <br /> the community center. Mayor Moore stated no site has been selected n H <br /> and the committee will be given free rein to make their <br /> recommendations without any direction from the City administration <br /> Moved by Councilmember Lend.,seconded by Councilmember Gipson that <br /> this is declared the third and final reading of Council Bill No <br /> 882-27 end the City Clerk is directed to call the roll for the final <br /> disposition of the ordinance I f <br /> AYES Langus,Niva,Gipson,Morrow,Pope,Overstreet <br /> NAYS None <br /> EXCUSED Stephenson <br /> Ordinance No.1455-88 adopted <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> President viva opened the hearing by elating the purpose Is to <br /> consider the vacation ot the alley between Wetmore Avenue and the <br /> niu,e;Zr:71.1unity College Athletic Field and between 12th Street and yi <br /> Councilmember Gipson stated for the record Chet he was fr-merly a <br /> member of the Board of Directors of General Hospital. CoLnc,Imember <br /> Overstreet stated for the record that he was a reel estate agent but p,,11' <br /> had not been involved in any of the property transfers in the <br /> property vacation area. <br /> Craig Fullerton,Real Property Manager,stated the proposed vacation <br /> s an area of a romimatel 600 s u re feet and is within <br /> contain pp y , q a <br /> the R-2 single family high density zone He stated no objections '0 I <br /> have been received to date It is recommended that Council approve <br /> the vacation subject to payment for an independent fee appraisal of <br /> the proposed vacation, payment of one-half the appraised vaiue and <br /> reteinage of an easement for utilities <br />
