Upon roll call it was found that all eouncilmembers were present except President NLva WhO 1.5 excused. Mayor Moore was also excused. Minutes of the meeting held April 27,1988 were approved as printed. She reviewed the participation in ( local area brochures promoting tourism ln Washington, and the exposure the City has received. MAYOR'S COMMENTS lo Mayor Moore reviewed the funding source for the Solid Waste study and stated an additional appropriation was not necessary. He alSO stated that he has asked 17 citizens, representing the various community interests and businesses, to serve on a Solid Waste Planning Committee. The committee will be deeply involved in the planning process on solid waste. Couneilmembers Overstreet and Stephenson will be representing the Council. COUNCIL COMMENTS Councilmember Overstreet stated he received a call last night from a neighbor of the Metro property stating that Some MaPing of the wetlands was taking place and asked the City to look into the matter.
