June 22,)988 239 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF EVERETT CITY COUNCIL that the 1989-1996 annual update of the six year transPortation improvement plan is adopted. AGREEMENT Roved by Councilmember Gipson,seconded by Councilmember Stephenson f I to authorize the Mayor to execute en interlocal agreement with Snohomish County for the use of county-owned portions of Jetty Island for Jetty Island Days,1988. BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT On June 1, 1988, a bid report was made to Council on the Bridge Replacement Project for Inc Hewitt, Oakes and Lombard Bridges. It was requested at that time that the award be postponed until confirmation was received from the Washington State Department of Transportation that an additional 8206,6E3 federal funding is available. TN' A lett. has been received from IISOOT which states that " ..the additional funding is net presently available but the City can submit an updated City/County Agreement reousAing the additional funding..., Additional federal funding will be available in October 1988, and WSDOT doesn.t foresee any problems in obtaining the additional fundin. The current approved$2,501.193 funding will he enough to take the • Project well beyondgOctober, 1988, in which case if for some unforeseen reason the anticipated additional$206,463 federal monies .e not available, this difference would be made up by additional 1/2d gas tax monies. • Roved by Councilmember Morrow,seconded by Councilmemher Stephenson to concur with the bid award and accept the report on the bid opening and availability of funding regarding the Hewitt, Oakes, Lombard Bridge Replacement Project.
