He urged the council to defeat the Ordinance. <br /> Councilnember Morrow said he understood the Odyssey had been open <br /> foe 10 years with no problems. <br /> Rex Hankins, owner of the Odyssey,said he had some problems but he .;� <br /> halways ad iCCpCled the <br /> etolicedepartment when he neededthem. He said he <br /> C <br /> e a good operation. <br /> Councilmember Overstreet asked if anyone else in Everett was <br /> affected and he replied he was the only one in Everett operating <br /> this type of facility. <br /> Councilmember Longus spoke against the Ordinance and COuneilmember <br /> Pope agreed saying that the Police Department needed every <br /> regulation they could get to help them do their jobs in protecting <br /> all citizens of the city. <br /> uncilmember Morrow said after listening to the testimony today he <br /> did not want to present this ordinance for adoption. <br /> Chief Shelstad said to.Hankins has been a good operator and said he <br /> had turned down requests from other people for the late hours.
