The Seattle Outboard <br /> Association provides family-oriented events for its members and are <br /> a non-profit organization. The membership is chiefly from the <br /> Snohomish County area. Notices were sent to 500 residences inviting <br /> participation in a public hearing held by the Park Board on April <br /> 11. Eight written responses were received and one neighbor <br /> attended. The Park Board voted unanimously to approve the permit. <br /> Harold Shaw, Chairman of the Boat Regatta, said the Association <br /> provides family recreation and participation and also promotes a <br /> clean boating environment. He said the Association will be out on <br /> Sunday, the day after the race,cleaning up all litter from around <br /> the Lake.
