"'"ti" <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmember Overstreet said he had the pleasure of meeting with 35 <br /> Jr. College female students from Japan who were attending Jr. <br /> College in Everett fox three weeks. <br /> said he had also attended the Traffic Advisory Committee meeting <br /> "i,1:1, r yesterday morning and learned of some new proposals to come before <br /> the council. Gene Peterson, Chairman of the State Traffic Safety <br /> 1, ''''1 [ Commission was also in attendance and thought it was a very <br /> productive meeting. <br /> Councilmember Pope said he will be leaving tomorrow for Syracuse, <br /> New York to visit a new army base that is having some of the same <br /> 1,,7e type of housing problems that is expected when the Navy comes to <br /> Everett. They seem to be coming up with some good answers which he <br /> will review and tiring back. <br /> , t. <br /> CITIZENS'COMMENTS <br /> , it„,' Greg Tisdale of 2118 38th St. said last year they had requested <br /> t <br /> that the 3800 block of McDougal be vacated to enable them to <br /> construct element building for housing their hazardous materiel. <br /> The vote had been tied, three yes,three no.
