• _ 303 August 15,19,0 The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m., August 15, IDWO in the City Council Chambers of Everett City Hall,President Pope presiding. Upon roll call it was found that all councilmen were present. The minutes of the August 8,1.0 meeting were approved as printed. MAYOR'S COMMENTS Sarah France, Mayor's Staff, introduced Karinne Fujii who was presented with the "Youth Ambassador Award.. Karinne was nominated by Jim Pringle of Cascade High School because of the many hours of I community service that she has provided to our comunity which includes volunteer work for the Puget Sound Kidney Center, helping an elderly couple in her neighborhood, and being a language tutor for foreign children. Mayor Kinch indicated that he was aware of a street parking problem in the vicinity at 34th and Broadway. He said that enforcement would be increased and he would like the opportunity to work with GTE to resolve this issue. Councilman Overstreet attended a joint regional planning meeting and indicated they will be developing long range planning. RESOLUTION Councilman Morrow introduced the following resolution.
