On May 20,1987, the City Council adopted Resolution <br /> (L No. 2867 declaring that the Smith Avenue Bridge was deteriorated and <br /> not structurally sound for vehicular traffic. The bridge has since <br /> been closed to vehicular traffic and has served as <br /> osnor (northerly) <br /> hasPdestian/bicycle path. Craig mentioned that there were several possible <br /> solutions,one of which would be to fill in the pedestrian path.
