350 September 12,1990 <br /> EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION <br /> Aerial ladder /5 has been removed from service because of extreme <br /> overloading of the rear axle components. Because of the overloading <br /> problem, it has been determined unsafe to operate this piece of <br /> equipment. The only method for correcting the weight problem is to <br /> add an additional axle to the rear at an approximate cost of <br /> 335,000. <br /> Moved by Councilmen Gipson, seconded by Councilman Overstreet to <br /> declare an emergency appropriation in the amount of$35,000 for the <br /> repair of Ladder t5 and allow repair work to be performed by Albu <br /> Brothers of Everett. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen votine yes except President Pope <br /> who)was excused. <br /> Notion carried. <br /> AMENDED AGREEMENT <br /> The insurance agent For the Golf Pro has asked that the City clarify <br /> that the Pro, insurance does not cover greens and fairways (which <br /> the City maintains). <br /> Moved by Councilman Overstreet, seconded by Councilman Mosey to <br /> authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No.1 to the agreement between <br /> the City of Everett and the Pro Manager for the operation of the two <br /> Municipal Golf Courses. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yea except President Pope <br /> who was excused. <br /> Notion carried. <br /> JOB COMPLETE <br /> The City of Everett entered into an cost-sharing agreement with <br /> 010 Investments to construct a stormwater detention vault at 47th <br /> and Grand, June 31, 1990. The project has been completed in <br /> accordance with the approved plans and specifications and meets the <br /> approval of the Public Works Department. <br />) Moved by Councilman Overstreet, seconded by Councilman Moser to <br /> accept the Storm water detention vault at 47th and Grand as complete <br /> and start the 30-day retention period for release of the retained <br /> amount of 319,423.59. <br /> Roll we called With all councilmen voting yes except President Pape <br /> who was excused. <br /> Notion carried. <br />( <br /> 1 <br />
