350 September 12,1990 EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION Aerial ladder /5 has been removed from service because of extreme overloading of the rear axle components. Because of the overloading problem, it has been determined unsafe to operate this piece of equipment. The only method for correcting the weight problem is to add an additional axle to the rear at an approximate cost of 335,000. Moved by Councilmen Gipson, seconded by Councilman Overstreet to declare an emergency appropriation in the amount of$35,000 for the repair of Ladder t5 and allow repair work to be performed by Albu Brothers of Everett. Roll was called with all councilmen votine yes except President Pope who)was excused. Notion carried. AMENDED AGREEMENT The insurance agent For the Golf Pro has asked that the City clarify that the Pro, insurance does not cover greens and fairways (which the City maintains). Moved by Councilman Overstreet, seconded by Councilman Mosey to authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No.1 to the agreement between the City of Everett and the Pro Manager for the operation of the two Municipal Golf Courses. Roll was called with all councilmen voting yea except President Pope who was excused. Notion carried. JOB COMPLETE The City of Everett entered into an cost-sharing agreement with 010 Investments to construct a stormwater detention vault at 47th and Grand, June 31, 1990. The project has been completed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and meets the approval of the Public Works Department. ) Moved by Councilman Overstreet, seconded by Councilman Moser to accept the Storm water detention vault at 47th and Grand as complete and start the 30-day retention period for release of the retained amount of 319,423.59.
