October 24,1990 The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order • at 8:30 a.m., October 24, 1990 in the City Council Chambers of the , • Everett City Hall,President Pope presiding. Upon roll call it was found that all councilmen were present except Councilman Overstreet who was excused. The minutes of the October 17,1990 meeting were approved aS Printed. • hMYOR'S COIMENTS Mayor Kinch stated that the resolution regarding the Alverson Bridge problem has been located and administration will be contacting the port in order to have a meeting and would like to have a representative from Council involved in this. President Pope indicated he was the liaison. The Mayor indicated that the Puget Sound Council of Governments was in a transition state et this point and several meetings will be coming zatiup.on.It appears the counties will be forming their own organi COUNCIL COMMENTS .• • d - Councilman Gipson reminded Council that Inc 1991 Budget Hearing , 5 would be held at the end of today's meeting. ' 1 Councilman Poser commented that a seminar he attended last week on Regulating Development of Environmentally Sensitive Areas was very interesting. It was sponsored by the Washington State Oar Association. The major emphasis was on liabilities. CITIZENS'COMMENTS , - Karen Leslie,7006 Berkshire Drive, addressed Council regarding the loopholes in our pornography and obscenity laws that allow children to purchase obscene lyrics,such as those from albums of 2 Live Crew.
