• <br /> 8 <br /> January 9,1991 <br /> 4a. <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order <br /> at 8:30 a.m., on Wednesday, January 9, 1991 in the City Council <br /> Chambers of Everett City Hall, President Morrow presiding. Upon <br /> roll call it was found that Mayor Kinch and all councilmen were <br /> present except Councilman Diamond who was excused. <br /> The minutes of the December 28, 1990 and January 2, 1991 meeting <br /> were approved as printed. <br /> • <br /> MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Kinch asked for Council's concurrence on the appointments of <br /> Bruce Christofferson and Mary Morgan to the Museum Advisory <br /> Commission. <br /> APPOINTMENTS <br /> Moved by Councilman Overstreet, seconded by Councilman Anderson to <br /> appoint Bruce Christofferson end Mary Morgan to the Museum Advisory <br /> Commission for terms of four years beginning January 1, 1991 and <br /> ending Oecember 31,1994. <br /> 1:0 <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen'voting yes except Councilman <br /> Diamond who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilman Overstreet made a suggestion that Council have two night <br /> meetings instead of one,making it easier for the public to attend. <br /> He indicated he would make a motion regarding this at the next <br /> Council meeting. <br /> Councilmen Moser had no objection to a second night meeting. • <br /> President Morrow indicated he felt this was a good idea and that <br /> perhaps the meetings could be held et locations other than City <br /> Hall. Councilman Pope oolcecl a concern that in the past there had <br /> been no difficulty, in scheduling those issues of interest to the <br /> public for the night meeting. He didn't feel there was enough <br /> public interest to warrant a second night meeting. Councilman <br /> Anderson was not in favor of an additional night meeting. <br /> Councilman Gipson reminded councilmembers that the issue of <br /> additional staff time needed to be taken into consideration. <br />
