He asked that the rezone be <br /> denied. <br /> Councilman Overstreet stated that the opinion of the Hearing <br /> Examiner needed to be followed. The rezone is consistent with <br /> the General Comprehensive Plan. <br /> Councilman Pope spoke on the need for affordable housing, not <br /> only for owners but for renters. He recommended adoption of <br /> the rezone. <br /> President Morrow expressed concern with changing single family <br /> residential to multiple residential zoning.
