101 <br /> March 6,1991 • <br /> 90 minute parking, 8:00 a.m.-5 p.m.except Sundays and <br /> holidays, permit vehicles exempt, an Pacific between <br /> Oakes and Lombard. <br /> Roll was called with all with all councilmen voting yes. • <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 0 RESOLUTION-5201 SOUTH 2ND AVENUE <br /> Moved by Councilman Gipson, seconded by Councilman Anderson to <br /> adopt Resolution No. 3001 authorizing the Building Official to <br /> secure 5201 South Second Avenue and declaring en emergency to <br /> exist as follows, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the building which is <br /> located at 5201 South 2nd Avenue currently exists with the <br /> following conditions: <br /> -the building is open to the public and an attractive <br /> nuisance <br /> -the building has been vandalized <br /> -there is interior stairway and glass damage that pose <br /> a threat to safety;and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the condition cf the <br /> building was brought to the City's attention and that a <br /> certified letter was sent to the owner of the structure, Mr. <br />• Frank Hendricks.on the 23rd of January,1991;and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owner received the <br /> letter and neither secured nor repaired the building, not <br /> contacted the Building Official;and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is imperative that <br /> immediate action be taken to secure and that normal abatement <br /> proceedings would take too long to implement;and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owner of the building <br /> has been given notice of this Council meeting;and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Chapter Ten of the Uniform ' <br /> Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, as adopted in <br /> Ordinance No. 1610-89, and amended by Ordinance No. 1731-90, <br /> C <br /> C <br />
