He noted that the Earl Sheffler memorial service will be <br /> today. <br /> Councilmen Gipson thanked Steve Breeden for making it possible • <br /> that City of Everett pins are <br /> available. At the Human <br /> Development Committee meeting at the Washington D.C.conference <br /> he said the mood was serious as the incident in Los Angeles <br /> dealing with policebrutalityavery fresh in everyone's <br /> mind. They dealt primarily with community communication end <br /> problems relating to crime. <br /> Councilman Pope reported on the Navy briefing at the Pentagon <br /> regarding the Homeport. He stated the tat foremost problems <br /> were that funding is frozen and the lack ofhousing in our area. <br /> PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br /> 0 President Morrow reminded councilmen that POC forms are due <br /> April 15th. <br /> A tentative Council retreat date is April 13th to be held in <br /> the City,time and place to be announced later. <br /> Three gentlemen from Ireland will be visiting Everett March 29 <br /> through April 5. councilmembcrs who would like to house them <br /> overnight should let President Morrow know. <br /> The community Block Grant Hearing scheduled for the March 20th <br /> Council meeting will be held at]:30 p.m. <br /> CITIZENS COMMENTS 0 <br /> Allen A.Whetstine,1306 38th Street,stated that Everett is in <br /> cad of a RV dump station.There is only one in the City and it <br /> is not available fareveryone's use.
