143 <br /> Parch,7,1,91 <br /> Wilma Betts, Human Services Coordinator, opposed a methadone <br /> treatment program in Snohomish County. <br /> 'lrryZ::::lA=i'tatXn' g=eds attention to <br /> e prohshof thea. <br /> Paul Pastor, Police Chief, stated that by bringing a methadone <br /> treatment program into the County there would be an increase of <br /> drug and crime problems. <br /> Mike Campbell, Assistant chief of Police, related his <br /> e4Mrience in lhe narcotics unit stating that Everett has a <br /> stable.hercin population and felt this program would increase <br /> our heroin population. <br /> Walt Crosby, 2601 Surrmit, Administrator of Evergreen Manor, <br /> Inc., spoke in opposition of methadone but felt there was a <br /> need to address the issue of the child. <br /> Councilman Overstreet asked how many Everett resident <br /> participants were unvalued in the Evergreen Manor program.
