206 May 1,1001 WHEREAS, the Director of Facilities, the Fire Chief and the City Attorney have reviewed such bid and found it to be acceptable to the City;and ffi WHEREAS,the call for bids contemplates that Fire Station No. 2 shall be built upon real property owned by the City to be leased to the successful bidder, and bidders were therefore directed to Include stated ground lease rental of$100 In their bids submitted to the c1tY;end WHEREAS, the calls for bids contemplates that upon successful completion of construction of Fire Station No.2, the city will occupy said improvements and commence paying lease rental for the use Hereof for a term of years but no such rental obligation iflail commence unless and until the improvements are satisfactorily completed by the bidder and are accepted Sr the city;and WHEREAS, the call for bids contemplates that in order to accomplish such lease financing, the City and the successful bidder,shall,upon acceptance of the mast advantageous bid,if any, execute a ground lease for the site of Fire Station No.2, lease-back of Fire Station Cl. 2, and a construction contract,and WHEREAS,the call for bids further contemplates that a take-out financing will occur upon successful completion of construction of Fire Station No. 2, whereby an underwriter will purchase certain rights' property and interests of the selected bidder upon successfulcompletion of Fire Station No.2; NON THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT as follows: SECTION 1: Findings and Acceptance of aid. The City.Council finds and declares the bid of Sierra Construction Company, Inc., copies on file with the City Clerk and incorporated herein by reference' to be the most C advantageous bid for the construction ofFirm Station No. 2, and such bid is hereby accepted.
