JZD 0 May 15, '991 COUNCIL COMMENTS Councilman Moser announced that today,May 15, 1991'is Transit AppreciationDay and he congratulated the Transit Department and employees for their efforts on behalf of the City. Councilman Moser reported that the Puget Sound Council of Governments is extending the life of the organization for six months as all of the required Interlocal Agreements have not been signed to assure the formation of the new organization. Because of Grant application requirements, it is necessary that PSCOG remain in existence. The funding for the new agency in 0 the 1991 budget willi need to be directed to PSCOG for the next six onths. He also reported an the Regional Environmental Affairs Council meeting he attended in Seattle regarding air pollution constraints and water ownership issue. PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS President Morrow reported that the Administration will be assisting with Council secretarial duties during the absence of the Council's Secretary, Pam Dixon. Jerry n said that be given and general office requirements can be given to Kathy Soverns or Joanna Swanson in the Administrative Offices or t0 Noel O'Connor at the Information Desk if help was not available /"\ in the Council office. ATTORNEY'S COMMENTS Bruce Jones, City Attorney, reported that the Fire Department hesanged for a firefighter to deliver, et considerable ving:, the city of Everett Fire Department Emergency One, Ladder 2, Vehicle Main to Ocala Florida, during the period of May 10,-June 3, 1991.. The firefighter hasretired from the Department and so a personal services contract is required. Moved by Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman Gipson [ authorize the Mayor t0 execute a personal services contract with Jim McDowell to deliver'the Emergency One, Ladder 2, 0 Vehicle w1511 to Ocala, Florida, during the period of May 18 June 3,1991. Roll wasalled with all councilmen voting yes except Councilmen Diamond and Overstreet owho were excused. Motion carried. U 0
