JZD <br /> 0 <br /> May 15, '991 <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilman Moser <br /> announced that today,May 15, 1991'is Transit <br /> AppreciationDay and he congratulated the Transit Department <br /> and employees for their efforts on behalf of the City. <br /> Councilman Moser reported that the Puget Sound Council of <br /> Governments is extending the life of the organization for six <br /> months as all of the required Interlocal Agreements have not <br /> been signed to assure the formation of the new organization. <br /> Because of Grant application requirements, it is necessary that <br /> PSCOG remain in existence. The funding for the new agency in 0 <br /> the 1991 budget willi need to be directed to PSCOG for the next <br /> six onths. He also reported an the Regional Environmental <br /> Affairs Council meeting he attended in Seattle regarding air <br /> pollution constraints and water ownership issue. <br /> PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br /> President Morrow reported that the Administration will be <br /> assisting with Council secretarial duties during the absence of <br /> the Council's Secretary, Pam Dixon. Jerry n said that <br /> be given and general office requirements can be given to Kathy <br /> Soverns or Joanna Swanson in the Administrative Offices or t0 <br /> Noel O'Connor at the Information Desk if help was not available /"\ <br /> in the Council office. <br /> ATTORNEY'S COMMENTS <br /> Bruce Jones, City Attorney, reported that the Fire Department <br /> hesanged for a firefighter to deliver, et considerable <br /> ving:, the city of Everett Fire Department Emergency One, <br /> Ladder 2, Vehicle Main to Ocala Florida, during the period of <br /> May 10,-June 3, 1991.. The firefighter hasretired from the <br /> Department and so a personal services contract is required. <br /> Moved by Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman Gipson [ <br /> authorize the Mayor t0 execute a personal services contract <br /> with Jim McDowell to deliver'the Emergency One, Ladder 2, 0 <br /> Vehicle w1511 to Ocala, Florida, during the period of May 18 <br /> June 3,1991. <br /> Roll wasalled with all councilmen voting yes except <br /> Councilmen Diamond and Overstreet owho were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> U <br /> 0 <br />
