C." 283Co <br /> June 12,1gal <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to <br /> order at 8:30 a.m., June 12, 1991 in the City Council Chambers <br /> of the Everett City Hall, President Morrow presiding. Upon <br /> roll call it was found that Mayor Kinch and all councilmen were <br /> present. <br /> PROCLAFMTION <br /> Mayor Kinch proclaimed June 14, 1901, as U.S. Troops Welcome <br /> Home and Salute Celebration Day. Chuck Kerr'Flag Day Program <br /> Coordinator, abeam overview of the planned events for the <br /> evening of June 14 at Everett Memorial Stadium and explained <br /> that a donation of canned food be brought as admission. <br /> SAFETY AWARD <br /> Charlie Soverns, Safety, introduced Mike Baldwin, National <br /> Highway Traffic Safety Administration; Steve LindWashington <br /> State Traffic Safety Commission; Linda Cook, Washington State <br /> Safety Restraint Coalition; and Robin Poster, DWI Task Force. <br /> Mr. Baldwin presented a plaque to Mayor Kiln h recognizing the <br /> City as a recipient of the JO% Honor Roll Program award, a <br /> O. national award recognizing the City of Everett employees for <br /> wearing seat belts. Mayor Kinch gave credit to our Safety <br /> Department,Ken Ballou and Charlie Severna. <br /> CERTIFICATIONS <br /> Carl Baird, Water Treatment Plant, recognized four employees <br /> who have recently upgraded their plant operator <br /> certifications: Robert,Waddle, Michael Goan, Donald McKinney, <br /> and Julian Favesi. <br /> MAYOR,S COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Kinch told councilmembers that at a recent Rotary meeting <br /> the City of Everett was the recipient of an award for its <br /> combined efforts to support the Desert Storm Troops. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilman Anderson asked if an open house was planned for Fire <br /> Station No.4.
