As the resolution states the rate would be.26 <br /> cants per• mile. Councilmembers wanted their reimbursement . <br /> rate for mileage to be consistent with the employees', At this <br />• <br /> paint in time employee mileage reimbursement is .24 cents per <br /> mile. <br />' (::' Bruce Jones, city attorney, told councilmembers that employee <br /> mileage reimbursement is set by the Mayor and that factors such <br /> as community standards and IRS accepted rates axe taken into <br /> consideration when setting the rate. <br /> I Moved by Councilman Overstreet, seconded by Councilman Gipson <br /> to amend Section 7, Item A,to read"Reimbursement for the use <br /> of personal Vehicles is limited to the standard city <br /> ilestablished rate per mile and must be documented by a vehicle <br /> log.4 <br />' Councilman Pope felt the resolution should be adopted as <br /> printed and then urge the Mayor to raise the employee rate to <br /> C .26 cents per mile. <br /> Roll was called on the amendment with all councllmen•voting yes . <br /> except Councilman Diamond and Pope who voted no. <br /> 1 , <br /> 1 Motion carried. <br /> 1 <br /> C <br />• <br />
