Jon <br /> CJune 26,1991 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was Called to <br /> order at 8:30 a.m., June 26, 1991 in the City Council Chambers <br /> of the Es erett City Hall, President Morrow presiding. Upon <br /> roll callSt was found that Mayor Kinch and all councilmen were <br /> present except Councilmen Gipson and Diamond who were excused. <br /> As had been requested the man of the June 12th meeting were <br /> �; reviewed end were accurate. The minutes of the June 12th end <br /> 19th,1991 meeting were approved as printed. <br /> MNVOF:S COMMENTS <br /> Captain Gary Baunsgard, Fire Department, introduced the <br /> following new Everett fire fighters who had just returned from <br /> the Fire Academy:: Bill Stopoulos, Wilson, Richard <br />• Roundtree, Brian Selmer and Sam Herrin e Mayor Kinch and <br /> councilmembers welcomed them aboard. <br /> AWARD <br /> Steve Breed Communications, presented the Mayor with an <br /> award thatw e 1ved from the Association of Washington <br /> Cities honoring the City of Everett with the 1991 Municipal <br /> Achievement Award for City Hall at the Mall, making City <br /> government:more accessible to.citizens. <br /> CITY HALL AT THE MALL <br /> Nancy Clifton, Communications extended an invitation to <br /> councilmembers to.attend.City Hall at the Mall being held this <br /> timing weekend with a formal presentation to be held et 11:00 <br /> a.m.,Saturday. <br /> • <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmen Anderson and s sited the Academy this <br /> past week and explained whata tremendous program it is. <br /> Councilman Overstreet asked when the Sovietsel would be <br /> timing into port. Mayor Kinch Said at this timesit w unknown <br /> as they.. waiting the.. Soviet government to was <br /> the <br /> appropriate fes for docking etc. Councilman Overstreet <br /> reported he attended the Everett 2000 public hearing and was <br /> qyg ` impressed with the process and participation. <br /> f <br />
