593 o <br /> October 30,1991 <br /> (-) <br /> COUNCIL BILL 9110-62 <br /> FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE creating a special fund entitled "Fire <br /> Station Construction• Fund No. 341, Program Nos. 989, <br /> 443,490 and 095 authorizing the construction of several <br /> fire stations and administration headquarters and <br /> repealing Ordinance No.1542-88. 0 <br /> Moved by Councilman Gipson, seconded by President Morrow that <br /> this is declared to be the final reading of Council Bill No. <br /> 9110-62 and the City Clerk is directed to call the roll far the <br /> final disposition of the ordinance. ' <br /> Bill Cushman, Finance Director, commented that this ordinance <br /> was a.presentation of a complete and revisedupdate of the <br /> comprehensive package of Funding for Fixe Stations No.2, 0, 7 <br /> and administration building. This was in response to showing <br /> Council the total picture. <br /> Counctlmember Gipsonn concerned that this was giving a <br /> blanket authority for theprojects. <br /> Mr. Cushman explained that preliminary design work bold have (--) <br /> to he approved by Council as well as the a arding of bids. <br /> Councilman Pope felt each project needed to be dealt with <br /> individually. <br /> Councilman Gipsontl 4 togunicateethed r.that he would he comfortable <br /> lumping Stations 2 an <br /> President Morrow withdrew his second t0 the motion. <br /> Councilman.Gipson withdrew his motion. <br /> N1. Cushman suggested deleting the dollar amounts for Station 0 <br /> No.J and heatlquarters. <br /> Councilman Overstreet asked if there was any urgency in passing <br /> this ordinance today.
