602 <br /> 0 <br /> November 6,1991 <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> All councileembers running for election were congratulated on <br /> their accomplishments. <br /> Councilman Overstreet announced that the November and December <br /> Snohomish County Tomorrow meeting will be combined and held <br /> December 4th. He attended an Office of Neighborhoods Growth and <br /> Traffic meeting which was very positive. <br /> Councilman Moser explained that he is working on a committee <br /> that is trying to incorporate recommendations from the American <br /> Disabled Act into our transit system. <br /> PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br /> President Morrow acknowledged a memo from Paul Roberts, <br /> Planning, expressing thanks to Attorney Jim Iles for all his <br /> assistance with the Boeing EIS. <br /> CITIZENS'COMMENTS <br /> May Stork, representing the Snohomish County Advocates for the <br /> Mentally Ill reported on services they provide and invited 0 <br /> councilmembers to participate in their fund raiser, a Health <br /> Walk, that will be held November 16th on a newly opened portion <br /> of the Centennial Trail <br /> Ron Hansen, 3827 Rucker, expressed opposition to the City sign <br /> ordinance. He explained that he had been cited for <br /> non-compliance and felt he was being singled out. He felt he <br /> should be able to appeal the matter without having to at through <br /> Superior Court. <br /> Al Foss, 4312 127th Place SE, explained that he owns property <br /> that is being annexed into the City. He had previously gone <br /> through all the steps the County required for short platting but <br /> missed the deadline by three days. Due to economics he asked <br /> for an expeditious resolution to the short platting. Dave <br /> Koenig, Planning, replied that the County is taking a more rigid <br /> approach and that several citizens are in the same predicament. <br /> Mayor Einch requested that Planning work with Mr.Foss. <br /> Chris Velto, 524 Pilchuck Path, related that he lives near the <br /> Everett slag site that has been declared a hazardous area by the <br /> Department of Ecology.
